Sara Barbas em Annecy

O projecto de longa metragem de Sara Barbas intitulado "Oddsockshire" foi um dois seis projectos seleccionados para serem apresentados este ano em França, no Festival Internacional de Cinema de Animação de Annecy. O festival vai decorrer de 6 a 12 de Junho e os pitches das longas vão ter lugar no Creative Focus entre as 17.30 eas 19:30. Se tiverem por lá venham ouvir o pitch da Sara! O Creative Focus está aberto a todos os participantes do Festival com acreditação.

Sara Barbas' new feature film project - "Oddsockshire" was one of the six selected to be pitched in France this year, at the International Animated Film Festival of Annecy. The festival will take place from the 6th to the 12th of June and the feature film pitches will be held at the Creative Focus on the 7th of June between 5:30pm and 7:30pm. If you are around come and attend Sara's pitch! Creative Focus is open to anyone with a Festival Accreditation.

A propósito da mediática saga protagonizada pelo ex-presidente do FMI, e ex-provável-presidente-francês, Jorge Coelho foi convidado a ilustrar uma rábula de Rui Zink para o i de sábad0, 21 de Maio intitulada "As Quedas de Viagara".

Following the mediatic circus concerning the ex-IMF-president and next-probable-french-president, Jorge Coelho was invited to illustrate a text written by Rui Zink, published on i Newspaper Saturday, May 21.

A Sara na Dinamarca

A Sara Barbas já está há um mês e meio na Dinamarca a desenvolver a sua próxima curta metragem de animação 2D intitulada "Última Chamada". Está a fazê-lo como Artista Residente da Open Workshop - a residência artística de The Animation Workshop em Viborg. Neste espaço de tempo a Sara escreveu o argumento, desenvolveu o grafismo e parte do storyboard e animatic. Para saberem mais espreitem o blog de produção. Followers e comentários serão bem-vindos.

Sara Barbas has been in Denmark for one and a half months now, developing her next animated short film - "Final Call". She's doing so within the setting of the Open Workshop - the Artistic Residency hosted by The Animation Workshop in Viborg. During this time Sara has written the script, developed the designs and made part of the storyboard and animatic. If you'd like to know more do take a peek at the production blog. A relembrar a Mag#1

Para quem andou distraído a MAG#1 foi lançada o ano passado no VI Festival Internacional de BD de Beja onde se fez uma exposição dos originais e também foi apresentada no 21º Festival de BD da Amadora.

Na MAG#1 temos trabalhos de banda desenhada, ilustração, contos, fotografia e serigrafia. O tema era "Lisboa", a capa de Ricardo Cabral e o design gráfico de Tiago Tavares.

The Lisbon Studio MAG#1 encontra-se à venda em Lisboa na KingPin, na Mongorhead e na Livraria Barata da Av. de Roma. E também na Central Comics do Porto e na Dr. Kartoon em Coimbra.

For those who missed it, The Lisbon Studio MAG#1 was launched last year at the VI International Comic Book Festival of Beja where we also exhibited the works. It was also presented at the 21º Festival de BD da Amadora.

In MAG#1 you can find comics, illustrations, short stories, photography and screenprinting. The theme was "Lisboa", the cover by Ricardo Cabral and graphic design by Tiago Tavares.

The Lisbon Studio MAG#1 can be found in three Lisbon stores, KingPin, Mongorhead and Livraria Barata in Av. de Roma, as well as in Central Comics in Porto and Dr. Kartoon in Coimbra.

The Lisbon Studio MAG#2

Apesar de estar atrasada a saída da MAG#2, devido a contratempos diversos, a MAG está pronta para vos mostrar o trabalho desenvolvido por alguns dos membros do The Lisbon Studio. Em breve será anunciada a data oficial e o local do lançamento da MAG#2.

Novo Espaço

É oficial. O Lisbon Studio tem um novo espaço em Santa Apolónia e vamo-nos mudar de armas e bagagens amanhã - dia 2 de Abril. E com o novo espaço físico abrimos também este novo espaço virtual onde podemos partilhar com vocês textos, fotos e videos dos nossos trabalhos, colaborações e experiências. Mãos à obra!

It's official. The Lisbon Studio has a new space in Santa Apolónia and we are moving in tomorrow - the 2nd of April. Alongside the new physical space we're also opening this new virtual space where we can share with you texts, pictures and videos of our individual and collaborative works and other experiments. Time to get our hands dirty!
